Join Us For A Launch Party- November 8th

COME JOIN US
I want to introduce you to The Vintage Spoon Collection , a line of inspirational jewelry, the sales of which help benefit  Family Promise of the South Bay, an organization that helps South Bay families transition out of homelessness.   Please stop by and say hello during an Open House – Launch Party that will showcase my Jewelry With A Cause.   The event will be held at the Community Room at Remedy Pharmacy 23811 Hawthorne Blvd in Torrance from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

The two hours will go by fast especially since my dear friends Oliver  C. Brown (original member of the KC and The Sunshine Band) and Ayline Artin (Singer Songwriter) will be at the open house performing.  In addition to the jewelry and music, we’ll also have some food and special gift drawings!   The honorable Mayor Patrick Furey will also be there for a Ribbon Cutting ceremony.  It’s all very exciting and I would be touched if you and your friends could be part of the celebration.

ABOUT THE VINTAGE SPOON COLLECTION
Spoons are for feeding and nourishment. But it’s not just about food-spoons symbolize nurturing the mind and soul too!   I created the Vintage Spoon Collection, using fifty to a hundred year old spoons—each unique, with a long history and story to tell.  The stainless steel spoons are handcrafted in our local studio and then forged with inspirational words.   The spoons carry a message and I see it as a way to empower, pay it forward and impact those in need.

THE HOMELESS ISSUE
Homelessness is an issue that is very personal- and dear to my heart.  If you are fortunate to own a house or live in an apartment, you sometimes take for granted the simple comforts of a warm bed or a shower.  We often think of Skidrow in downtown or encampments under underpasses where the homeless reside.  But, unfortunately, homelessness is a problem here in the South Bay too.  Homelessness actually increase 17% in the South Bay the past year and over 70% since 2013.  Moreover, 3,000 children are reported homeless in the South Bay public schools.   Through resources, support and training, Family Promise of the South Bay works toward building stability and self reliance with the families they assist.

I hope you can stop by on Wednesday and be part of the launch party that supports such an important cause.   Be sure to tell your friends too.

With much love and gratitude
Sabine xoxo
